An “iron chef” cook-off
One of the capstone activities for the eighth graders is a cook-off. Each of the groups received identical raw materials mostly from the garden–eggs, oranges, herbs, bread and more. The had to work as teams to come up with the most appetizing and tasty menus. This is the judging rubric after the teams were done. And note that cooperation and cleanliness are also rated.
